Backstory:
Indolent Corn is a curious blend of childhood friends and music enthusiasts hailing from the small, rural town of Bumblebrook, Kansas. The core band members, Lenny “Lazy” Jones and Cornelius “Corny” Smith, met at an early age over their shared passion for making music and their family’s farm-fresh corn. They felt that music, like corn, was part of their life’s essence, a metaphor for their tractable yet spirited lives. From their humble beginnings to their inevitable rise to fame, the band never forgets their roots, often returning to Bumblebrook for inspiration and fresh corn.
In 2015, they were joined by Ginger “Spice” Williams, a city girl who moved to Bumblebrook and brought with her a unique taste in music. The addition of Ginger brought a new edge to Indolent Corn’s sound, turning them from a local favorite into an international sensation.
Genre:
Indolent Corn’s genre is best described as Psychedelic Country Rock—a refreshing mix of psychedelic guitar riffs, country-style storytelling lyrics, and rock energy.
