Backstory:

Indolent Potato was formed in the quaint town of Devonshire, England during the fall of 2005. The band’s members – frontman and songwriter Harvey Reed, drummer Jamie Butterworth, bassist Charlie Ridley, and guitarist Aidan Smith – were childhood friends who grew up sharing their love for music. They decided to turn their passion into a profession after their impromptu performance at a local pub caught the attention of an independent record producer.

The band’s name, Indolent Potato, was inspired by a memory from their childhood. They spent many lazy afternoons lounging in Harvey’s shed, peeling potatoes for his family’s restaurant, while crafting their unique sound. The band often finds humour in their name, viewing it as a symbol of their humble beginnings and laid-back personalities.
