Backstory:
Insidious God was formed in the foggy city of Seattle in 2006. The founding members, Jared Blake (vocals), Mark Jackson (guitar), and Sam Collins (drums), met during a local open-mic night. They discovered a shared affinity for dark, introspective music, and an unquenchable thirst to bring their creative visions to life. At an old, run-down warehouse converted into a studio, the trio spent countless nights crafting their unique sound and penning lyrics that delved deep into the human psyche.
In 2008, they were joined by Amy Roberts (bass guitar and backup vocals), a talented musician with a penchant for brooding tunes. Amy’s addition infused new energy into the band, and they soon gained a loyal following with their electrifying live performances and evocative lyrics that resonated on a profound level with listeners. Their journey has been a mix of gruelling tours, creative differences, and band shakeups, but they’ve managed to stick together and continue to produce music that pushes boundaries and challenges conventions.

Title:
“Shadows of Silence”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] In the darkness where I [D] lie,
[Em] Alone and broken, the [C] dreams I defy,
[A] Shadows of silence, [C] whispering my name,
[D] Echoes of past, [G] igniting the flame.
(Chorus)
[G] I’m the sacrifice, [D] I’m the betrayed,
[Em] In the chaos, [C] where love’s charade,
[A] An insidious god, [C] pulling the strings,
[D] In his world of shadows, [G] I’ve lost my wings.
(Verse 2)
[G] Echoes of laughter, [D] fading in the night,
[Em] Trapped in the mirror, [C] fighting the fight,
[A] Bound by the chains, [C] of a melancholic refrain,
[D] Tethered to the echoes, [G] drowning in the pain.
(Chorus)
[G] I’m the outcast, [D] I’m the denied,
[Em] In the labyrinth, [C] where truth’s defied,
[A] A puppet to the god, [C] ruled by fear,
[D] In his cruel games, [G] I disappear.
