Backstory:
Insubstantial Soldier emerged from the heart of San Francisco in the late 2000s, born from the fusion of four friends with a shared love of music and the desire to voice their perspectives on social issues. The band members, John ‘Doe’ Dorsey (lead vocals and guitar), Sam ‘Shadow’ Corbin (drummer), Liz ‘Lynx’ Stevens (bassist), and Tyler ‘Tyran’ Merton (keyboardist) met at a local community college where they were all part of the music program. After a spontaneous jam session one afternoon, they realized the amazing synergy they had, and Insubstantial Soldier was born. Over the years, they have become well known for their compelling lyrics, richly layered music, and the unique blend of their vocals.
