Backstory:

Intelligent Aunt was born in the quirky, indie-rich streets of Austin, Texas. The band consists of four members – lead vocalist and guitarist, Jemma Moore, bassist, Harrison Foster, keyboardist, Eliza Bennett, and drummer, Ray Tucker. They all started their journey in the music scene individually, performing in coffee shops and bars across Austin. Their paths crossed at an open mic event where their distinct styles blended so harmoniously that they decided to form a band together. Intelligent Aunt was named after Jemma’s musically talented Aunt Kathy, who introduced her to some of the band’s biggest musical influences.

Intelligent Aunt has a unique blend of Indie Rock and Folk, with a hint of Punk elements. Their music often incorporates unexpected harmonic changes, complex rhythm sections, and poetic lyrics, which resonate with a wide audience.
