Backstory:

Intrepid Date was formed in the vibrant music scene of Nashville in 2014, when four childhood friends decided to combine their musical talents and shared passion for storytelling through music. Lead vocalist and guitarist John “Sky” Skylark, bassist Max “Thunder” Donahue, keyboardist Lucy “Lightning” Lawrence, and drummer Riley “Rain” Rivers found their mutual love for music was a bond that transcended their childhood friendship, leading to the creation of Intrepid Date. The name, suggested by Lucy, was inspired by their daring leap into the professional music world, coupled with their love for spontaneous jamming and writing sessions that often felt like adventurous musical dates.

After winning a local talent competition, the band gained recognition and quickly gathered a loyal fan base in Nashville. Their fame spread through word of mouth and they soon found themselves playing in larger venues, eventually leading to them signing a record deal in 2016. Despite their success, they have stayed true to their roots, maintaining their unique sound and raw, heartfelt lyrics.
