Backstory:
Irresponsible Leadership came into existence in the bustling city of Chicago, in the year 2010. The four members, David (vocals), Tom (guitar), Mike (bass), and Alex (drums), were all university friends who shared a mutual love for music and a passion for making a statement. They started off by performing in small gigs, gradually gaining local popularity. The band’s name is an ironic jab at the many instances of irresponsible behavior they saw in the world leaders. They aim to bring awareness through their music, and their lyrics often depict the consequences of such actions.

Title: “Unseen Consequences”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am C G D
The world is spinning out of control,
Misguided leaders digging a deeper hole,
Can’t they see the pain in the people’s soul,
Unseen consequences taking their toll.
(Chorus)
Em D C G
Irresponsible leadership, can’t you see,
Your actions are drowning humanity,
Unseen consequences, like a sea,
In a world where we just want to be free.
(Verse 2)
Am C G D
Promises made, but never kept,
In the name of power, we have wept,
It’s time to wake up from the sleep we’ve slept,
Before we’re buried in debts inept.
(Chorus)
Em D C G
Irresponsible leadership, can’t you see,
Your actions are shattering unity,
Unseen consequences, like a bee,
Stinging the world with severity.
(Outro)
Am C G D
So we sing this song, loud and clear,
Hoping one day, they will hear,
And turn away from the path of fear,
To a future where we all hold dear.

Lucy’s Testimonial: “I have been a fan of Irresponsible Leadership for over five years now. Their music not only resonates with my taste but also my principles. Their songs are rebellious, poetic, and incredibly powerful. Their lyrics throw light on the issues that often go ignored by many. They’re not just musicians, they’re revolutionaries with guitars. I can’t help but feel a sense of connection and identification with every word they sing. ‘Unseen Consequences’, their latest track, has been on repeat on my playlist. It’s a perfect encapsulation of the state of the world today. They are, without a doubt, my favorite band!”
