Backstory:
Junior Sail was formed in a dorm room of the Royal College of Music in London in 2012, when four music students decided to experiment with their collective passion for indie pop and folk music. The members, Liam Baker on vocals and guitar, Martin Green on the keyboard, Julia Robertson on bass guitar, and Hannah Martin on drums, started playing at small gigs around the city. They quickly earned a reputation for their catchy melodies and evocative lyrics, and by 2016, Junior Sail had signed with an independent record label and released their first EP. Their combination of powerful harmonies, insistent rhythms, and a deep love for the sea became their signature sound, and they have never looked back since.
