Backstory:
Keen Housing began in the heart of London, when four high school friends decided to channel their shared passion for music into something more concrete. Lead vocalist and guitarist, Finn, drummer Olly, bassist Jordan, and keyboardist Max embarked on a journey of constant jamming sessions, underground gigs and late-night songwriting that slowly but steadily led to the formation of Keen Housing. The band name, inspired by their first makeshift studio being in an old housing complex, serves as an emblem of their humble beginnings and mutual commitment to their craft.
After several years of working together, Keen Housing finally caught the attention of a local record label during a chance gig at a pub. Their unique sound and lyrical depth impressed the label executives, earning them a recording contract. The band’s diverse musical influences, from the Beatles to Arctic Monkeys, and their knack for crafting relatable and profound lyrics, have won them a dedicated fanbase and critical acclaim.
