Emerging from the city’s vibrant underground music scene, Lanky Theft was the brainchild of childhood friends, Jake Lanson and Terry Philips. Both grew up in the outskirts of Manchester, where they spent countless hours jamming in Jake’s parents’ garage during their teenage years. Their common passion for music, with Jake on the guitar and Terry on the drums, led them to form a band after finishing high school and moving into the city. The duo soon added bassist Steve McQuire and keyboardist Sarah April to their lineup, creating a fierce quartet that took the local bars by storm. Over the years, they’ve transformed their shared love for music into a compelling, dynamic force that captivates audiences at every venue they play.
