Lazy Rock
The story
Formed in the laid-back surf town of Driftwood Bay, Lazy Rock began as a spontaneous jam session between childhood friends, Mason (vocals/guitar), Jules (drums), and Tessa (bass). The trio found themselves more interested in relaxing on the beach and writing songs about the slow pace of coastal life than chasing the big city music scene. Their early gigs were played for friends around bonfires, where their mellow sound and witty lyrics quickly won them a loyal following.
Lazy Rock’s music reflects their philosophy: life is better when taken slow, with plenty of lazy afternoons and good company. They gained traction when a local coffee shop owner uploaded one of their impromptu performances online, and soon after, their laid-back vibe began to resonate with people looking for a break from the fast-paced world.
Laid-back indie rock with touches of surf and soft rock.
Snooze Button Life
Verse 1 (C – G – Am – F) C Woke up to the sunlight peeking in G Dreams of waves, the salty wind Am Coffee’s brewing slow, no need to rush F Barefoot steps, we’re never in a hush C Tumble on the couch, the day’s still young G Guitar in my lap, let’s strum along Am Time slips by with every chord F Lazy Rock, we’re never bored Chorus (F – G – C – Am) F G Hit the snooze button, roll over again C Am Life’s too short to stress where we’ve been F G Catch the breeze, just drift and float C Am We’re lifeboat souls on a paper boat Verse 2 (C – G – Am – F) C Neighbors say, “You kids should get a job!” G But the sound of laughter is all we want Am We’ll write another song about wasting time F Play it out of tune, and still, it rhymes Chorus (F – G – C – Am) F G Hit the snooze button, roll over again C Am Life’s too short to stress where we’ve been F G Catch the breeze, just drift and float C Am We’re lifeboat souls on a paper boat

"I’ve been following Lazy Rock ever since I stumbled on their set at the Driftwood Bay coffee shop three years ago. Their music makes me feel like I’m on permanent vacation, even during the busiest work weeks. I love how their lyrics celebrate slowing down and enjoying the moment—it’s like therapy in the form of a song. Plus, they always remember me by name at gigs and even signed my favorite flannel. No band feels more like home than Lazy Rock."
