Lost Mayor

Backstory:
Formed in the bustling streets of New Orleans in 2015, Lost Mayor was the brainchild of lead singer and guitarist, Jacob Thibodeaux and drummer, Xavier St. Pierre. The duo, both born and raised in the Big Easy, drew their inspiration from the city’s vibrant music scene and colorful history. Thibodeaux and St. Pierre were classmates at a local school and were part of their school’s marching band. After high school, they decided to form Lost Mayor, taking their name from a local legend about a mayor who went missing during Mardi Gras, never to be seen again. The band soon expanded to include bassist, Benny Rousselle, and keyboardist, Aimee Laurent, both of whom added their own unique vibes to the music.

Genre:
Lost Mayor is a Soulful Rock band with a strong influence of Blues.

Title:
“One More Bead on Bourbon Street”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
C G Am E
Down on Bourbon Street, under the neon light,
F C G
We stroll through the night, just looking for a fight.
Am E F C
In the heart of the crescent city, where the river meets the sea,
G E Am E
One more bead on Bourbon Street, that’s me.

(Chorus)
F C G
Throw me something, mister, let me catch your dream,
Am E F C
Lost in the sea of faces, in the Mardi Gras parade stream.
G Am E F C
One more bead on Bourbon Street, caught in the gleam.

(Verse 2)
C G Am E
Nights filled with jazz notes, and days with blues,
F C G
Finding solace in the rhythm, chasing away the booze.
Am E F C
In the city of saints and sinners, where stories and legends meet,
G E Am E
One more bead on Bourbon Street, ain’t discreet.

(Chorus)
F C G
Throw me something, mister, let me catch your tune,
Am E F C
Dancing through the night, under the crescent moon.
G Am E F C
One more bead on Bourbon Street, in the heart of June.
