Backstory:

Lovable Politician began as a whimsical idea between a group of college friends, all majoring in diverse fields with the mutual love for music. Comprised of a political science major, Aaron, who takes lead on vocals and guitar, along with economics major, Max, on drums, sociology major, Jess, on bass, and philosophy major, Luke on keyboards. The band formed when they were all sophomores at the University of California, Berkeley. After performing at numerous college events and local cafes, they decided to take their passion for music to the next level and formed ‘Lovable Politician’. Their music, much like their band name, is full of quirk and irony, often reflecting their opinions on political and social issues.

Lovable Politician’s favorite fan is Lucy, a high school teacher from Sacramento. Lucy has been following the band since their earliest days, and attends every gig she can. She has all their merchandise and every album they’ve ever released. Lucy says, “Lovable Politician is more than just a band to me. Their music speaks to me in a way no other band does. They make politics relatable, digestible and danceable at the same time. Their music educates and entertains, and their energy on stage is absolutely electrifying.
