1. Backstory
Lumpy Stairs, an eclectic and progressive rock band, was formed in 2008 in the heart of New York City. The band consists of four members: Lead vocalist and guitarist Max “Lumpy” Stairs, the drummer, Wiley “Thunder” Drums, the bassist, Ronnie “Bass Beast” Martin, and lastly the keyboardist, Frankie “Fingers” Flynn. They crossed paths in the bustling city when they found themselves working at the same music store. Their shared passion for music and the late-night jamming sessions after closing hours eventually led them to form their own band.

The band’s name, Lumpy Stairs, is inspired by the old, rickety staircase in the music store where they met. The stairs, though uneven and squeaky, led them to their shared dream of making music. Their journey, much like climbing those stairs, has sometimes been unexpected and tough but rewarding in the end. After a decade of making music together, Lumpy Stairs has carved out its unique niche in the larger musical landscape, intriguing crowds with their distinctive style and heart-throbbing performances.
