Backstory

Magnificent Page began as a simple dorm room project between classmates at Ohio State University. Alice Turner, a poet, and Jimmy Barnes, an aspiring singer and guitarist, started to combine their passions during late-night study breaks. The duo started performing at local bars, and their soulful lyrics combined with captivating melodies soon caught the attention of fellow student and drummer, Luke Johnson. With the addition of Johnson, the three friends formed ‘Magnificent Page’ in the spring of 2003. As they graduated, they took their act on the road, touring through the Midwest and slowly gathering a dedicated following.
