Mealy Producer

Backstory:

Formed in the bohemian atmosphere of San Francisco back in 2008, ‘Mealy Producer’ was a concept brought to life by lead singer, Sam ‘Mealy’ Matthews, bassist, Jerry ‘Producer’ Peters, and drummer, Dave ‘The Beat’ Blake. The trio first crossed paths at a local food drive, bonding over shared passions for punk rock and social justice. They initially played in small venues around the city, gaining recognition for their distinct sound and humanitarian ideals. They soon found their niche in the punk rock world, and their unique fusion of politically charged lyrics with energetic music shaped their identity in the industry.

Verse 1:
[G] They work in shadows, [C] unseen and unheard,

[C] With hearts on fire and [D] fists held high,
[G] They fight the system, [D] letting no chance slide by.

Chorus:
[G] Unseen heroes, [C] in the dead of the night,
[G] Ignoring the pain, [D] keeping the fight,
[C] They stand for justice, they [D] scream for right,
[G] Unseen heroes, [D] shining oh so bright.

Verse 2:
[G] Faces hidden, but [C] souls out bare,
[G] They fight the battles, [D] with everything they share,
[C] With hope in their eyes, and [D] strength in their veins,
[G] They never back down, [D] no matter the pains.

Chorus:
[G] Unseen heroes, [C] in the throes of the fray,
[G] Carrying the world, [D] every single day,
[C] They stand for the weak, they [D] lead the way,
[G] Unseen heroes, [D] in the light of day.

She declared, “In a world full of noise, Mealy Producer’s music is a voice of truth and rebellion. Their song ‘Unseen Heroes’ became my anthem. It reminded me of my purpose as an educator and a citizen.
