Backstory:
‘Measly Heart’ is the brainchild of four childhood friends, Tom, Jim, Fred, and Luke, growing up in the blue-collar neighborhood of Detroit, Michigan. Their shared love for music and their common upbringing shaped their dreams, and they formed the band in the hot summer of 2004. They started with small gigs in local school events and neighborhood parties, slowly gathering a loyal fan base with their heartfelt songs and approachable persona. The band got its big break in 2008 when they won a local radio station’s ‘Battle of the Bands,’ which gave them exposure to larger platforms. Their down-to-earth image, coupled with an ability to tell relatable stories through their music, endeared them to the public, and ‘Measly Heart’ quickly became a household name in the Detroit music scene.
