Backstory:
Medical Grade was birthed from the creative depths of a group of medical students in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts, in 2015. The four members, Matt Conway (vocals/guitar), Aaron Foster (bass), Lily Wu (Drums), and Sami Noor (keyboards), found solace and shared their stress through music amid the grueling schedule of medical school. Their music was the ideal antidote to the long nights of studying and dissections; it was the perfect script for their sanity.
Their journey started from their makeshift dorm room studio, to open mics at local cafes, and then onto university concerts, where they found their rhythm and sound. Gradually, their music began to resonate with their peers and beyond, resulting in their decision to take the music scene seriously, even as they pursued their medical degrees. They took the name ‘Medical Grade’ as a nod to their origins and a testament to the quality of music they strive to create.
