Moral Withdrawal

Backstory:
Born in the heart of New York City, Moral Withdrawal is a quartet of musicians that captured the essence of their time and surroundings, unfiltered and raw. Consisting of lead singer and guitarist Max “Vox” Johnson, bassist Edward “Eddy” Cooper, drummer Sam “Hammer” Taylor, and keyboardist Ricky “Keys” Jackson, the band formed in 2004. They were initially part of different bands playing local gigs, but fate brought them together one night at a low-key, grungy bar in Brooklyn. United by their mutual dissatisfaction with the societal norms and eagerness to express this through their music, they began to jam together, and Moral Withdrawal was born.

Title:
“Echoes of Silence”

Lyrics:

Verse 1: [E minor, G, D, A]
In this city of chaos, where voices collide,
(E minor, G, D, A)
Through the echoes of silence, we find a place to hide.
(E minor, G, D, A)
With the weight of the world, on our battered backs,
(E minor, G, D, A)
We’re a symphony of screams, faded to black.

Chorus: [C, G, D, E minor]
We are the echoes of silence, the unseen tears,
(C, G, D, E minor)
In a world full of noise, where no one hears.
(C, G, D, E minor)
In the heart of the city, under neon lights,
(C, G, D, E minor)
Through the echoes of silence, we fight our fights.

Verse 2: [E minor, G, D, A]
As the world spins faster, we’re lost in time,
(E minor, G, D, A)
In the echoes of silence, we pen our rhyme.
(E minor, G, D, A)
With hearts full of rage, and minds so clear,
(E minor, G, D, A)
Through the echoes of silence, we conquer fear.

(Repeat Chorus)

Outro: [E minor, D, C, A]
So here we stand, in the echoes of silence,
(E minor, D, C, A)
With the world at our feet, in peaceful defiance.
