Backstory:

Mundane Look was formed in a small, nondescript town in the heart of Ohio in 2018. The band members, high school friends Byron “Keys” Keaton, Jake “Rhythm” Rhodes, and Peter “Pulse” Patel, were all drawn together by their shared love for music and a common sense of being overlooked in the monotony of small-town life. The band got its name from the way they saw themselves: ordinary guys who were easily overlooked but had a lot more to offer beneath the surface. Their music became an outlet, a way to express their thoughts and feelings, their hopes and dreams, and their shared experience of being stuck in a place where nothing ever seemed to happen.

The trio began by playing small gigs around town, mostly in basements and garages, but slowly started to gain a following. They released their first album, “Ordinary Brilliance,” in 2020. The album was a hit among those who had felt the same sense of being overlooked in the mundane routine of their lives. The band’s relatability and raw, authentic sound resonated with many. Mundane Look, an ordinary band from a small town, was now on its way to becoming an important voice for all those who felt stuck in their ordinary lives.
