Backstory:
Murky Arm was born in the bustling independent music scene of Seattle, Washington in 2013. The band was formed by four childhood friends – lead singer and rhythm guitarist Sam Hawkins, lead guitarist Alex Turner, bassist Josh Freeman, and drummer Danny Blackmore. After graduating from college, they decided to turn their hobby into a career, finding their collective passion in creating music that echoed the grunge and alternative rock scene that the city was famous for. They gained a local following by playing in various clubs and bars, quickly becoming a staple in the Seattle music scene. Their lyrically intense and melodically rich music resonated with the city’s youth, propelling them into the limelight.
