Narrow Chance

1. Backstory:

Narrow Chance was born in the bustling heart of Nashville, Tennessee in 2013. The band consists of four members: Travis “Trav” Pearson, the charismatic and driven lead vocalist; Lydia “Lyd” James, a violinist with a passion for folk; Brad “Gibby” Gibson, a percussionist who dabbles in electric guitar and likes to mix things up; and finally, Corey “Cor” Mitchell, a bassist who keeps the band grounded with his steady rhythms. The band members met at a local open mic night, where their shared love for storytelling through music brought them together. Despite having different musical backgrounds, they found a common sonic ground and decided to form a band. The name ‘Narrow Chance’ signifies their collective belief that every opportunity, no matter how small, can lead to something big.

2. Music genre:

Narrow Chance blends the sounds of Americana, Folk, and Rock to create a unique brand of heartland music that resonates with a broad audience.

3. Song title:

“Whiskey and Forgotten Dreams”

4. Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1)
There’s a bottle of whiskey on the shelf,
Whispers of stories no one else can tell,
In this rundown bar, where the world seems far,
I drown my past and cast a spell.

(Chorus)
Whiskey and forgotten dreams,
Fading in the shadow of moonbeams,
In the bottom of the glass, I see,
The man I was and who I used to be.

(Verse 2)
Memories linger like smoke in the air,
Of love lost and moments we used to share,
This old wooden stool, in this dimly lit room,
Is the only witness to my silent prayer.

(Chorus)
Whiskey and forgotten dreams,
Dissolving in the river of time it seems,
In the echoes of the jukebox tune,
I find my heart, lost in the afternoon.

(Bridge)
Oh, they say time heals the deepest scars,
But in the mirror of these empty jars,
In the stillness of this neon night,
I see the truth, in the harshest light.

(Chorus)
Whiskey and forgotten dreams,
Like pages ripped from tattered seams,
In the silence of these closing doors,
I find the truth, I can’t ignore.

(Outro)
So here’s to whiskey and forgotten dreams,
And the narrow chance that life redeems,
In the break of dawn, as a new day forms,
I’ll find my way, in the eye of the storm.
