“Echoes in the Attic”

The story

Neglected Demand formed in the dim-lit basements of Detroit, where five friends—childhood neighbors and musical misfits—bonded over late-night jam sessions and a shared sense of being overlooked. During their teenage years, the group found solace in thrift-store guitars and battered drum kits, channeling their frustrations into raw, energetic songs that spoke to anyone who ever felt sidelined by life.

After years of grinding through open-mics and underground venues, their DIY ethic and gritty sound started to turn heads. Their music became anthems for the underdogs, and, as local buzz grew, Neglected Demand embraced their outsider status, using their platform to celebrate resilience and speak truth to power.

Echoes in the Attic

Verse 1
(Em) Shadows flicker, (D) on the peeling walls
(C) Memories linger, (G) they’re echoing calls
(Em) Broken records, (D) spin through the night
(C) Haunted by voices, (G) just out of sight

Pre-Chorus
(Am) These old secrets (C) rattlin’ around
(Em) Dusty confessions, (D) never make a sound

Chorus
(G) We’re just echoes in the attic
(D) Repeating static,
(Em) Trying to break through the noise
(C) With the strength of our voice
(G) We’re the stories you forgot
(D) The wishes you never caught
(Em) Shouting out to the world
(C) From the corners we’ve curled

Verse 2
(Em) Cracks in the ceiling, (D) leaking out dreams
(C) The past keeps revealing, (G) all its faded seams
(Em) Guitars are crying, (D) through tangled wires
(C) We play for the outcasts (G) and unlit fires

Pre-Chorus
(Am) These old secrets (C) rattlin’ around
(Em) Dusty confessions, (D) never make a sound

[Repeat Chorus]

Biggest fan

Jordan Reed

Jordan is our favorite fan because they’ve never missed a show, even when it meant driving four hours and camping out in the rain. Jordan once started a social media campaign called “Demand to Be Heard,” helping our single go viral. In Jordan’s own words: “Neglected Demand isn’t just music for me—it’s comfort, it’s rebellion, it’s a community. Their lyrics got me through my toughest days, reminding me that being overlooked doesn’t mean being invisible. I wear their merch like armor, and every time I see them live, I feel seen. This band gave me a voice when I didn’t have one.”
