Backstory:
Neglected Left was formed in the sleepy, coastal town of Neptune Bay, Oregon in 2010. Its founding members, high school buddies Josh Kenton (vocals/guitar) and Tyler Hanson (drums), were just getting tired of the lack of representation of the local music scene. Deciding to fend for themselves, they began jamming in Josh’s garage, crafting their own unique soundscape influenced by the gloomy weather of the Pacific Northwest. Later, they were joined by bassist Emma Lane and keyboardist Richie Morrow, whose versatile musicianship added depth to the duo’s raw energy.

The band’s journey from the garage to local bars, to eventually signing with indie label ‘Raindrop Records’, is a testament to their relentless dedication to their craft. Their lyrical themes often revolve around teenage angst, political discontent, and their own experiences of feeling left out, hence the name ‘Neglected Left’.
