Backstory:
Formed in the bustling pubs of Liverpool in the early 2000s, Nippy Novel stands as an embodiment of the eclectic blend of old school charm meeting contemporary innovation. The band was born from a shared love for storytelling, poetry, and music between two childhood friends, Sam “Scribbler” Jones (vocals/guitar) and Jamie “Jazz” Johnson (drums). They were later joined by the fiery and fierce, Lilly “Lark” Anderson on bass, who brought the much-needed edge to their sound. The band’s name, Nippy Novel, was born out of a shared joke, as their songs were like quick, biting tales full of surprises and twists. Over the years, they’ve grown from their humble beginnings, becoming a captivating fixture of the British indie rock scene.

(Verse 1)
Am G D
Remember the old brick road,
Am G D
The echo of songs untold,
Am G D
The laughter that filled the air,
Am G D
The dreams we dared to share.
(Chorus)
C G D
Pages of yesterday, etched in our hearts,
Am G D
Tales of love, of endings and starts.
C G D
In the chapters of time, under the sun,
Am G D
Our Nippy Novel, has only just begun.
(Verse 2)
Am G D
Through the storms, we made our way,
Am G D
Chasing the break of day.
Am G D
In the tale of you and me,
Am G D
We found our symphony.
(Chorus)
C G D
Pages of yesterday, etched in our hearts,
Am G D
Tales of love, of endings and starts.
C G D
In the chapters of time, under the sun,
Am G D
Our Nippy Novel, has only just begun.

It’s like reading your favorite book with a fresh cup of coffee on a rainy day. Their song ‘Pages of Yesterday’ is my absolute favorite.
