Obedient Veil

Backstory:

Obedient Veil was formed in the quaint town of Asheville, North Carolina, in late 2016. The four-member band features Michelle “Shelly” Maroon on lead vocals and guitar, Kevin “Seas” Johnson on bass, Matt “Maddog” Davidson on drums, and Paul “Piano Man” Stern on the keyboard. The group initially bonded over their shared passion for music during their high school years, playing in their respective garages before deciding to join forces. They would go on to perform at local gigs and events, where their unusual sound and magnetic stage presence quickly garnered attention and a growing fanbase.

Their big break came in 2018 when they were spotted by a talent scout while performing at a local bar. The scout was impressed by their raw talent and energy, and their ability to captivate the audience with their music, and quickly offered them a recording contract. Since then, Obedient Veil has been taking the music industry by storm, never failing to impress their fans and critics alike.

Title:
“Shadows in the Spotlight”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em C
She’s got her secrets, hidden in plain sight,
G D
Shadows in the spotlight, lost in the night.
Em C
Her heart’s an ocean, deep and wide,
G D
Her dreams are ships, sailing with the tide.

(Chorus)
Am C
She’s a mystery, wrapped in a riddle,
G D
A melody, caught in the middle.
Am C
With a voice like thunder, and eyes like the rain,
G D
She’s the sweetest song, tinged with the slightest pain.

(Verse 2)
Em C
She walks on moonbeams, dances in the sun,
G D
Her laughter’s a symphony, her tears a silent hum.
Em C
She’s a poet’s muse, a painter’s dream,
G D
A rebel with a cause, a queen without a realm.

(Chorus)
Am C
She’s a mystery, painted in shades of gray,
G D
A melody, that strays but never fades away.
Am C
With a smile like starlight, and a soul like a flame,
G D
She’s a symphony of silence, a forgotten name.
