Backstory:
Oblong Motion was formed in the mainstream of the indie rock scene of downtown Seattle in 2012. The band consists of four members: Liam O’Connell (vocals and guitar), Jenna “Jinx” Marlowe (bass), Zachary “Zack” Sullivan (drums), and Phil Newton (keyboard and backing vocals). The members met each other during their college days, playing at local open mics and dorm room jam sessions. After graduation, they decided to follow their passion and create music together, and thus Oblong Motion was born. The band has been on a rollercoaster ride ever since, experiencing highs and lows, but their love for music and the bond they share has kept them going.

Title:
“Whispers in the Rain”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse)
Am G
Walking down the empty streets,
Dm Am
Rain is falling, beats on beats,
Am G
Memories replay in my head,
F G
Your voice echoes, words you said.
(Chorus)
C G
Whispers in the rain,
Am Em
Love’s sweet refrain,
F C
Keeps me sane, in this game,
G C
Echoes of your whispers in the rain.
(Verse)
Am G
Through the chill, and through the pain,
Dm Am
I hear your voice, again and again,
Am G
In every droplet, I feel your touch,
F G
In this loneliness, I miss you so much.
(Chorus)
C G
Whispers in the rain,
Am Em
Your love, my gain,
F C
Keeps me sane, in this game,
G C
Echoos of your whispers in the rain.
(Bridge)
F Am
In the silence, in the noise,
G Em
I seek your voice,
F C
Through the pain, through the joy,
G C
You remain, my only choice.
(Chorus)
C G
Whispers in the rain,
Am Em
Your love, my chain,
F C
Keeps me sane, in this game,
G C
Echoes of your whispers in the rain.
