Backstory:
Oddball Basin was formed in the sleepy town of Bakersfield, California in 2012, an unlikely place for a band that would soon make waves in the indie music scene. The four members, lead singer and guitarist Jack Kinsley, bassist Ella Walker, drummer Tommy Harding, and keyboardist Nate Peterson, were childhood friends who grew up together. Their shared love of music led them to form a band in high school, originally playing covers of their favorite bands in their parents’ garages. With time, they began writing their own songs, drawing inspiration from their collective experiences and surroundings. They decided on the name ‘Oddball Basin’ as a nod to their eccentricities and the valley they called home.
