Offensive Employee

Backstory:

Offensive Employee was born out of the shared misery of four corporate employees stuck in the monotonous grind of a nine-to-five job in downtown San Francisco. The group, consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Mike “Mickey” Lawson, drummer Angela “Angel” Donovan, bassist Ralph “Rico” Rodriguez, and keyboardist Pete “Pistol” Conners, met during a company retreat, where they soon discovered their shared passion for music and contempt for their soul-crushing jobs.

Their first jam session in the company’s storage room proved to be a cathartic release from their daily frustrations, and they decided to channel their feelings into their music. They took the name “Offensive Employee” as a tongue-in-cheek nod to their corporate jobs, and in no time, they were rocking local bars and clubs with their unique brand of music, escalating quickly to touring nationally and eventually, internationally.

“Out of Office Forever”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[Am]Staring at the paper stacks, [G]wishing for a heart attack,
[Dm]Tied to a desk, [E]no turning back.
[Am]Caught in the corporate trap, [G]need an endless nap,
[Dm]Drowning in a [E]coffee cup, need a map.

(Chorus)
[F]Out of office forever, [C]no more empty endeavors,
[G]Tired of pulling the levers, [Am]time to sever.
[F]No more pushing papers, [C]done with corporate capers,
[G]Fleeing from the skyscrapers, [Am]we’re the escapers.

(Verse 2)
[Am]Living for the weekend thrill, [G]not the Monday drill,
[Dm]Looking for a life to [E]fill.
[Am]Chasing time, always uphill, [G]swallowing the bitter pill,
[Dm]Breaking free, [E]it’s time to kill.

(Repeat Chorus)

(Outro)
[F]We’re out of office forever, [C]no more tether,
[G]We’re the misfits, the go-getters, [Am]offensive employees together.
