Onerlooked Scarf

Backstory:
Born in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, in 2012, ‘Onerlooked Scarf’ began as a duo consisting of childhood best friends Trenton Doyle and Nathan Locke. Named after a forgotten scarf Trenton found in a thrift shop – a metaphor for the overlooked beauty in life – the band aimed to create music that reminds people of the hidden gems within the mundane. Their poignant lyrics and unique sound quickly earned them recognition within the underground music scene, and they soon expanded the band to include drummer Sylvia Perez and bassist Milo Boyd. Together, they breathe life into the music industry with their unconventional approach and authentic sound.

Genre:
Alternative rock with subtle elements of folk and blues.

Title:
‘Lost in the Echoes’

Full Song Lyrics:

Verse 1:
[G] Lost in the echoes, [D] buried in the sand, [Em] we find ourselves [C] wandering in no man’s land.
[G] Searching for a melody, [D] a rhythm, or a rhyme, [Em] to help us find our way, [C] through the tests of time.

Chorus:
[G] Are we just scarves left in the wind, [D] forgotten and unseen?
[Em] Or are we notes in a kindred song, [C] waiting to convene?
[G] One day we’ll be discovered, [D] by a heart that understands,
[Em] Until that day, we’ll keep singing, [C] in this distant, timeless land.

Verse 2:
[G] Our footprints in the shadows, [D] journey in the dark, [Em] echoing our stories, [C] leaving our mark.
[G] With every note we play aloud, [D] a feather falls in grace, [Em] painting a picture [C] in this vast space.

(Repeat Chorus)

Outro:
[G] We are the overlooked, [D] the hidden in plain sight,
[Em] But in our silent whispers, [C] we ignite the night.
[G] Embrace the echoes, [D] and the scarf that goes astray,
[Em] For in the end, [C] we’ll find our way. [G]
