Backstory:
Only Peace, a four-piece band hailing from the bustling streets of New York City, was formed in 2014, as a reaction to the escalating global unrest and growing disillusionment with a world teetering on the edge. The band members, childhood friends turned musical collaborators, wanted to inject a message of unity, love, and tranquility into the world through their music. The band comprises Danny on vocals and guitar, Frankie on drums, Lisa on bass, and Jimmy on the keyboard.
Danny, Frankie, and Lisa were childhood friends who had been making music together since they were young. However, it wasn’t until they met Jimmy in a local music festival that the idea of forming a band took shape. Jimmy’s distinct keyboard style complemented their sound perfectly, and it didn’t take long for the four of them to realize that together, they could make music that was soulful, meaningful, and powerful.
Genre:
Only Peace is best categorized in the Indie Pop genre, but their music is a blend of pop, rock, and soul with a touch of folk. They’re known for their uplifting lyrics, catchy melodies, and soulful harmonies, all tightly woven together by a subtle undercurrent of social commentary.

“Into the Light”

(Verse 1)
Am G F C
In a world of chaos, we spread our wings,
Am G F C
Into the light, is where we are heading.
Am G F C
We are the voices, ready to sing,
Am G F C
Under the moonlight, love we are spreading.
(Chorus)
G C Em D
We are the ones, carrying the torch,
G C Em D
In the darkness, we’re the light you search.
G C Em D
We won’t back down, won’t be put to flight,
G C Em D
We stand together, into the light.
(Verse 2)
Am G F C
Through the shadows, we find our way,
Am G F C
Unbreakable bond, not led astray.

In the silence, we have our say,
Am G F C
With hope in our hearts, we face the new day.
(Chorus)
G C Em D
We are the ones, carrying the torch,
G C Em D
