Born from the eclectic vibes of Austin, Texas, ‘Open Fluid’ saw its inception in 2007 when a group of college friends decided to transform their dorm jam sessions into something bigger. The members, Jake, Marcus, Amy, and Liam, initially dabbled in multiple genres before finding their own unique sound. They soon found themselves playing at local clubs and gaining a dedicated fan base, their distinctively raw music resonating with individuals looking for something different. Over the years, ‘Open Fluid’ has grown from a band of young, ambitious students into a mature, seasoned entity, having toured extensively and released three albums to date. However, their humble beginnings and shared love for music remain at heart.

Our favorite fan is a woman named Lily. A local Austin resident, she’s been with us since our first performance at a small downtown club.
