Backstory:
In the bustling boroughs of Brooklyn, three childhood friends – Max, Josh, and Vince – found solace in their shared love of music. Armed with a couple of broken-down guitars and a secondhand drum set, the trio began making music in the garage of Max’s family home. They chose the name ‘Optimistic Wage’ as a tongue-in-cheek nod to their dreams of one day making a living from their passion, despite the limited opportunities that lay before them. The band spent countless hours practicing and playing in local venues, gradually making a name for themselves in the indie music scene for their thought-provoking lyrics and melodic soundscapes.
