1. Backstory
Orange Strength first came into existence in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, in the summer of 2010. Initially, it was just a duo – Jax Carter, a rebellious teenager with a knack for playing the electric guitar, and his childhood friend, Sophia “Phoenix” Keller, a soulful singer with a distinct raspy voice. They began by playing at local bars and cafes, gaining popularity for their unique fusion style and raw lyrics, and were soon joined by drummer Pete “Buzz” Thompson and bassist Lucy “Stellar” Fielding.

Their journey to fame was not a smooth one. Following a heartbreaking split due to creative differences, they decided to reunite after a chance meeting at a music festival in Austin in 2013. Inspired by their shared passion for music and their loyalty to each other, the band came back stronger than ever, embodying their name – Orange Strength – signifying energy, enthusiasm, and resilience.
