Orderly Chicken

Backstory:
Orderly Chicken emerged from the frenetic energy of the bustling, cosmopolitan city of New Orleans. The band started as a group of five college friends, who, after a night of wild revelry, found themselves jamming in a dilapidated attic with a couple of instruments. As the laughter and music filled the air, the friends realized that they had stumbled upon something special. They continued these musical sessions, and before they knew it, they were performing at local bars and venues, charming audiences with their unique sound. Their name, Orderly Chicken, was coined out of their shared love for fried chicken and their often humorous attempts to maintain order in their chaotic lives.

Genre:
Orderly Chicken combines elements of Jazz, Funk, and Indie Rock, creating a kaleidoscopic blend of music that is both innovative and nostalgic.

Title: “Chicken Coop Blues”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em Am
Woke up in the mornin’, sun in my eyes,
D G
Felt like a chicken, bound by ties.
Em Am
Living in a coop, but dreaming of skies,
D G
Can this bird ever truly rise?

(Chorus)
C D
I got the Chicken Coop Blues,
G Em
Can’t shake off these feathers,
C D
Living on the edge, always on the loose,
G Em
Waiting for better weather.

(Verse 2)
Em Am
My heart sings a song, a jazzy lullaby,
D G
While my body dances the indie rock high.
Em Am
In this orderly chaos, my spirit flies,
D G
Like a phoenix from the ashes, it defies.

(Chorus)
C D
I got the Chicken Coop Blues,
G Em
Can’t shake off these feathers,
C D
Living on the edge, always on the loose,
G Em
Waiting for better weather.

The band’s favorite fan:
The band holds a soft spot for their fan, Eloise, a quirky librarian from their hometown. Eloise’s testimonial reads, “Orderly Chicken is more than just a band to me. Their unique blend of music genres is like a breath of fresh air. It resonates with my soul, and it’s like they’ve put my thoughts and feelings into melody and lyrics. The fact that they’re from the same place as me adds to the charm. They’ve given me something to be proud of my city, and for that, they’ll always be my favorite.”
