1. Backstory:
Ordinary Treaty started in the bustling heart of New York City. The band’s core, Jake Adams and Olivia Scott, were both struggling solo artists in the city’s competitive music scene. They would cross paths at open mics, music festivals and shared recording studios. After a couple of joint songwriting sessions, they realized their creative energy matched each other’s perfectly, forming a pact to create music together, hence the name Ordinary Treaty.
Their band grew to include drummer Daniel ‘Danny’ Simmons and bassist Ruby Mitchell, both of whom they’d met at various gigs around the city. Ordinary Treaty soon garnered a strong following for their unique blend of sounds and heartfelt lyrics, culminating in their first record deal in 2018.
2. Music Genre:
Ordinary Treaty’s sound is a unique fusion of Indie Rock and Electronica, with a mix of powerful guitar riffs, synth beats, and passionately sung lyrics.

5. Fan Testimonial:
“My name is Sarah Thompson and Ordinary Treaty is my absolute favorite band! Their music speaks to me on so many levels. I love the way their lyrics tell stories about life, dreams, and the city I love. It’s like they’re speaking my heart in a language only music can express. Their fusion of Indie Rock and Electronica creates a unique sonic experience, which is as electrifying as it is soul-soothing. I’ve followed them since their first open mic and will continue to do so. Ordinary Treaty isn’t just a band to me; their music is a reflection of my life.”
