Backstory:
Ornate Petrol is a Brisbane-based band formed in the summer of 2013. Their name, which was conceived during a road trip when they spotted an old, vintage petrol station with decorative architecture, became a symbol of their desire to infuse ornate, complex structures into their music.
Genre:
Ornate Petrol’s music is an eclectic mix of Indie Rock with elements of Blues and Psychedelic.
Title:
“Wheels of Time”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am C G D
Driving down the old coast road, where memories unwind,
Am C G D
We found a place that time forgot, left so far behind.
Am C G D
A vintage sign of rust and age, standing still, so bold,
Am C G D
Ornate Petrol, echoes of stories untold.
(Chorus)
Am C G D
Wheels of time keep turning,
Am C G D
Memories keep burning,
Am C G D
In the heart of this old station,
Am C G D
Resides our inspiration.
(Verse 2)
Am C G D
In the quiet corners of our minds, where dreams take flight,
Am C G D
We strike a chord, we pen a word, under the moonlight.
Am C G D
The charm of past, the hopes of present, meld into a song,
Am C G D
In the echoes of the Ornate Petrol, we belong.
(Chorus)
Am C G D
Wheels of time keep turning,
Am C G D
Memories keep burning,
Am C G D
In the heart of this old station,
Am C G D
Resides our inspiration.
