Backstory:
Ornery Darling was formed in 2013 in Memphis, Tennessee, where its four members met at a local open mic night. Lead singer and guitarist, Charlotte “Char” Brimley and drummer, Ray “Rattlesnake” Simmons, immediately clicked with their shared love for blues rock with a punk edge. Together with bassist, Johnnie “Jet” Turner, and keyboardist, Sarah “Sparrow” Pennington, they started creating music that had a unique blend of grit, soul, and attitude.

The early years were spent playing in local bars and small festivals, facing the inevitable struggle of a band finding its unique sound. But Ornery Darling’s breakthrough came when they were discovered by a record label executive during one of their mesmerizing live performances. The executive was captivated by the band’s raw energy and signed them immediately. Their debut album, ‘Rabble Rouser’, was critically acclaimed and Ornery Darling has been a fixture on the music scene ever since.
