The story

Outlandish Policeman was formed in the bustling city of New York in 2012, by five friends who were united by their love for music and their day jobs as NYPD officers. They started by playing gigs in small, local bars, and gradually, their unique sound began to garner attention. The band members - Chris (vocals), Eddie (guitar), Nick (bass), Terry (drums), and Joe (keyboard) - found their inspiration in their police work, writing songs that told stories of justice, human compassion, and the occasional sprinkle of uncanny humor.

Their breakthrough came in 2015 when their pulsating rhythms and profound lyrics caught the attention of a record producer who happened to be in one of the bars they played in. Seizing the opportunity, Outlandish Policeman released their debut album, entitled "Badge of Honor", later that year. The album was a hit, instantly making them a sensation in the indie rock scene.

Blue Line Blues

Verse 1
C - Am - Em - G
Under flashing lights, amidst the city nights,
On corners where darkness and danger unites,
We stand tall, our hearts in the fight,
In the world of wrong, we're the beacon of right.

Chorus
F - C - G - Am
We've got the Blue Line Blues, baby,
Up all night, the city's crazy,
Chasing shadows, racing time,
In this twisted justice rhyme.

Verse 2
C - Am - Em - G
Badges gleaming under the neon glow,
In a city that's asleep, we're the ones on the go,
Trying to make a difference, in our unique show,
In this world of chaos, we're the ones you know.

Chorus
F - C - G - Am
We've got the Blue Line Blues, darling,
In the wind, our hopes are swirling,
In the face of danger, we climb,
In this life, that's our prime.

“I’ve been a fan of Outlandish Policeman since their very first gig in a small Brooklyn bar. Their music is raw, filled with heart, and tells the real stories of what it means to protect and serve. I connect with it on a deep level, not only because I come from a family of police officers, but also because their lyrics speak of the human spirit in a way that’s both powerful and vulnerable. There's no other band out there that can move me like they do.”
