Backstory:

Outstanding Chair was formed in the small coastal town of Ocean Grove, New Jersey in the summer of 2009. It all started when four high school friends, Randy, Harry, Frank, and Alex, discovered their shared passion for music and started playing in Harry’s basement. The name ‘Outstanding Chair’ was inspired by an old, worn-out chair in the same basement where they made music. The chair was “outstanding” in the sense that it stood out due to its worn-out look amidst all the shiny, new music equipment.

The band initially started by playing gigs at local bars and cafes. Their unique sound quickly got them noticed in the local music scene. Eventually, Outstanding Chair got their big break when they were invited to open for a well-known band at a music festival in New York. Since then, the band has released two studio albums and toured all across the United States, creating a dedicated fanbase along the way.
