Overdue Comb

Backstory:
Overdue Comb was born in the heart of downtown Detroit, a city known for its rich musical history. The four members – lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Benny, lead guitarist Mike, bassist Danny, and drummer Todd – met in high school, bonding over their shared love of classic rock and blues. They started jamming together in their parents’ garages, before graduating to local bars and clubs. The name Overdue Comb came from a joke about their collectively untamed and wild hair. Their passion for music, combined with their love for experimenting with different genres, gave their sound a unique, eclectic edge that quickly caught the attention of their local music scene.

Overdue Comb’s ascent was not without hardship. The long nights, grueling road tours, and the struggle to balance their passion with their day jobs tested their commitment. However, their dedication to their craft and their belief in each other held them together, eventually landing them a record deal. Their unique sound and electrifying live performances have endeared them to fans worldwide.

Title:
“Down the Line Blues”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1 F#m, E, D)
Woke up this morning, sun glaring in my eyes
Tossed aside the covers, dreams of big city lights
One step at a time, boots hitting the pavement
Chasing that feeling, pure sonic amazement

(Chorus A, Bm, C#m)
Down the Line Blues, the rhythm in my veins
Every strum, every beat, helps to ease the pain
Down the Line Blues, reverberating through my soul
In this great big world, it’s the music that makes me whole

(Verse 2 F#m, E, D)
Walking these crowded streets, guitar strapped to my back
Reflections of neon lights, in a world painted black
Every string, every note, tells a story untold
The echoes of my journey, in the chords that unfold

(Chorus A, Bm, C#m)
Down the Line Blues, the rhythm in my veins
Every strum, every beat, helps to ease the pain
Down the Line Blues, reverberating through my soul
In this great big world, it’s the music that makes me whole
