Backstory:

Overjoyed Son was birthed out of the bustling streets and creative corners of Brooklyn, New York. The band was formed in 2011 by lead singer and songwriter Jacob Collins, who was inspired by his bond with his mother to choose the name Overjoyed Son. Jacob grew up with a single mom who held high expectations for him but was always his biggest cheerleader, supporting him through his musical journey. The band’s four members – Jacob, drummer Eli Rodriguez, bassist Kevin Brown and guitarist Sam Morrow – all share a deep connection with their families and use this as a source of inspiration for their music.
