Palatable Casualty

Backstory:

Formed in the bustling city of Chicago in 2014, Palatable Casualty was birthed from the creative minds of childhood friends Jake Anderson (vocals/guitar) and Lucas Howard (bass). The duo spent their high school years writing music in obscurity until they were joined by drummer Mia Clark, a recent music school graduate, and Lisa Raymond (keyboard), a long-standing friend and former classical musician. Together, they transcended the boundaries of traditional music, creating a sound that was both unconventional yet surprisingly comforting.

Palatable Casualty found their break in 2016, with their song “Misguided Melody” getting airplay on various local radio stations. This newfound fame allowed them to start headlining local music festivals, leading to a loyal fan base that they fondly refer to as ‘Casualties’. Their music, a mix of raw emotion and beautiful discord, resonates with the lost, the dreamers, and the rebels. Their journey from basement gigs to sold-out arenas is not just a testament to their talent but also their unyielding spirit.

Title:

“Lost in Translation”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1) [C – F – Am – G]
Caught in a storm, the world’s in a spin
Trying to find my way back, don’t know where to begin
In this chaos, I find my peace
In your silence, my thoughts increase

(Chorus) [F – C – G]
Maybe we’re just lost in translation
Screaming out our fears, drowned in frustration
In our silence, we face our demons
Oh, we’re just lost, lost in translation

(Verse 2) [C – F – Am – G]
Walking these roads, lined with regret
Our hearts are heavy, our eyes are wet
In your absence, I find my strength
In this void, at arms-length

(Chorus) [F – C – G]
Maybe we’re just lost in translation
Chasing shadows, yearning for salvation
In our silence, our hearts are screaming
Oh, we’re just lost, lost in translation

(Outro) [C – F – Am – G]
Maybe we’re just lost, oh so lost
In our chaos, at such a cost
But in this silence, we find our freedom
Oh, we’re just lost, lost in translation
