Parallel Repair

Backstory:
Parallel Repair was born in the heart of Chicago’s underground music scene in the early 2000s. The band was formed by four friends – lead vocalist and guitarist Luke Matthews, bassist Jeremy Martin, drummer Zoe Smith, and keyboardist Jason Heller – who shared a common love for music that speaks of personal experiences and social realities. Luke, Jeremy, and Jason grew up together in the same neighborhood, while Zoe, a transfer student in their college, joined the trio with her exceptional percussion skills and became the beat of their music. The band name, Parallel Repair, was inspired by their belief in the power of music to mend broken spirits, with each composition serving as a parallel universe where pain can be healed and happiness shared.

Title:
“Threads of Time”

Full Song Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Em G D
Fading pictures on the wall,
Em G D
Time whispers its silent call,
Em G D
Lost in the threads of time,
Em G D
Our hearts beat in rhyme.

[Chorus]
C G
Thread by thread, we mend,
D A
In this parallel we descend,
C G D
Through the echoes of time,
A Em
Your soul intertwines with mine.

[Verse 2]
Em G D
The clock ticks to our shared beat,
Em G D
In this life’s bittersweet retreat,
Em G D
In the maze of yesterday,
Em G D
We found our way.

[Chorus]
C G
Stitch by stitch, we repair,
D A
In this parallel, we dare,
C G D
To dance through the threads of time,
A Em
Forever yours, forever mine.

Favorite Fan Testimonial:
Our band’s favorite fan is named ‘Sarah Thompson’. She’s a college student who has been following our journey since our first gig in a local bar. Sarah is known to us not only for her regular presence in our concerts but also for her profound understanding of our music, and her lively interaction on our social media channels.

Sarah says, “Parallel Repair isn’t just a band to me, they are my emotional catharsis. Every song feels like a personal narrative, it’s as if they have walked the same path as me. Their music has been a constant companion, helping me mend my broken parts and filling me with hope. Luke, Jeremy, Zoe, and Jason don’t just create music, they create magic. They are my favorite because they make me believe in the power of healing through music.”
