Backstory:
Formed in the sweltering summer of 2002 in a small, dusty town in Nevada, Parched Van is a trio of musicians who discovered their shared love for music in the most unexpected place – a run-down, makeshift garage. Named after the dilapidated van parked outside the garage, wherein they composed their first song, the name ‘Parched Van’ symbolizes their beginnings and their thirst for creating unique, soul-stirring music. The members, comprising of Hank (lead guitarist), Eddie (drummer), and Sam (vocalist and bassist), each bring their unique flavor to the band, making Parched Van a perfect blend of raw emotions and electrifying energy.
Genre:
Parched Van’s music falls in the Blues Rock genre with the band drawing heavy influence from the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, and Muddy Waters. Their music is characterized by potent, evocative lyrics, powerful guitar riffs, and the emotive rawness that is inherent to the blues.
