Pastel Unit was formed in 2013 when four friends, Alexis (vocals), Riley (guitar), Charlie (bass), and Jordan (drums), met in art school in San Francisco. They discovered their shared passion for music during late-night jam sessions in their dormitory’s common room. They bonded over their love for pastel artwork, which they thought reflected their sound—soft, mellow, and subtly vibrant, hence the name, Pastel Unit. Their music often embodies themes of love, friendship, growth, and self-discovery, all packaged with a unique, artistic flair that resonates with their listeners.
