Perfumed Oven

Backstory:
Perfumed Oven was conceived during a chilly autumn night in a small duplex in Brooklyn. The founding members, a trio of childhood friends—Ruth, Kenny, and Nick—were reunited after several years of wandering through separate lives. They discovered their shared nostalgia for their mischievous past and a mutual love for music. They decided to form a band, blending their diverse musical sensibilities. The name ‘Perfumed Oven’ came from an inside joke about a disastrous first attempt at baking a vanilla-scented cake that filled their homes (and lungs) with an unforgettable aroma. The unlikely moniker stuck, much like the smell of their ill-fated baking endeavor.

Over the years, Perfumed Oven has since grown to a five-piece ensemble. They’ve moved from playing in grimy basement gigs to some of the most famous concert halls and music festivals around the world. Despite the fame, they’ve remained true to their roots, retaining the same playful energy and warm camaraderie that marked their early days.

Genre:
Perfumed Oven specializes in a unique blend of Indie Folk and Alt-Rock.

“Vanilla Twilight”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] Underneath the [C] indigo twilight, [Em] you and I, we [D] dance in quiet,
[G] Hand in hand, we [C] chase the moonlight, [Em] in our vanilla [D] twilight.

(Chorus)
[G] Vanilla twilight, [C] sweet and bright,
[Em] Hold me tight, in this [D] endless night,
[G] Your laughter echoes, [C] under starlight,
[Em] In our vanilla [D] twilight.

(Verse 2)
[G] Through the city’s [C] hush and whisper, [Em] our shadows grow [D] longer and slimmer,
[G] Yet in your eyes, I [C] see a shimmer, [Em] an echo of our [D] vanilla twilight.

(Chorus)
[G] Vanilla twilight, [C] sweet and bright,
[Em] Flicker of hope, in this [D] endless night,
[G] Your smile romances, [C] under starlight,
[Em] In our vanilla [D] twilight.
