Backstory:
Formed in the vibrant underground music scene of Austin, Texas back in 2012, Pesky Birth began as an experiment between a group of college friends. Their shared love for music and a desire to break the mold of conventional sound led to the meeting of minds and an amalgamation of distinct styles. Comprising of the charismatic lead vocalist, Brett “Buzz” Lane, the enigmatic guitarist, Mike “Whiskers” Sheffield, the taciturn bassist, Sam “Smoky” Johnson, and the dynamic drummer, Vinnie “Thunder” McNamara, Pesky Birth grew from a college pastime to a band that pushed the boundaries of music.
Pesky Birth’s first album was received with mixed reviews, but they stood firm, refusing to compromise their unique sound to fit in the industry’s preset mold. This resilience paid off when their sophomore album, “The Vexing Dawn,” stormed the charts, earning them a dedicated following and critical acclaim. Now, with a decade under their belt, Pesky Birth has become a staple in the alternative music scene, recognized for their genre-defying sound and electrifying live performances.

“Ripples in the Static”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
G C D G
Wandering in an open field,
Em C G D
Lost in the thoughts that we conceal,
G C D Em
Screaming vivids in the silent dark,
C G D G
We’re just ripples in the static arc.
(Chorus)
C G D Em
Echoes trace the edges of our minds,
C G D G
Fighting to be more than left behind,
C G D Em
In the chaos, we find our spark,
C G D G
We are the ripples in the static arc.
(Verse 2)
G C D G
Life’s a spectrum of shades and hues,
Em C G D
We choose the ones we dare to use,
G C D Em
In the static, we etch our mark,
C G D G
We’re just ripples in the static arc.
(Chorus)
C G D Em
Swimming in the echoes of the time,
C G D G
Striving to ascend the steep climb,
C G D Em
In the storm, we find our arc,
C G D G
We’re the ripples in the static dark.

Testimonial:
“Pesky Birth has been my favorite band since the moment I heard their song ‘Ripples in the Static’. It was unlike anything I’d heard before. Their music is raw, honest, and beautifully chaotic, much like life itself. They have a way of tapping into the shared human experience and translating it into sound. The lyrics speak straight to your soul, acknowledging the struggles, the heartaches, but also the triumphs, the joy, and the beauty of our existence. It’s a blend of relatability and escapism that you can’t find elsewhere. And above all, there is a sense of authenticity in their music that resonates with me, which is why Pesky Birth will always have a special place in my heart.”
