Backstory:
‘Phony Soldier’ is a band formed in the heartland of Nashville, Tennessee. The band members include lead vocalist and guitarist Clark Thompson, drummer and backing vocalist Adam James, bass guitarist Mike Johnson, and keyboardist and vocalist Sarah Mitchell. The band was born out of a college dorm room where the four friends would often jam together, creating a unique blend of sounds. They were all misfits in their own right, but music was their common language and escape. The band’s name ‘Phony Soldier’ is a metaphor for their journey, symbolizing their fight against societal norms and the artificiality they experienced in the modern world.
