Backstory:
Pleasant Manager was born in the heartland of Tennessee and bred in the backrooms of local music joints. The band was brought together by their shared love for music and a desire to tell stories that capture the small moments that make life worth living. Comprised of four members: lead vocalist and guitarist John ‘Hawkeye’ Hawkins, bassist Randy ‘Smooth Hands’ Johnson, percussionist Sam ‘Thumper’ Matthews, and keyboardist Peter ‘Twinkle Toes’ Brown, each member brings a unique flavor to their music that perfectly complements each other. Their journey started in 2006 when they met while working at the same office, hence the name Pleasant Manager, as an ode to their nine-to-five past life and a nod towards their shared sense of humor.
For years, they played at local bars and music festivals, until their breakthrough came in 2012, when they won a local Battle of the Bands competition. Their unique blend of soulful lyrics and eclectic sound resonated with the crowd and the music industry alike, thrusting them into the limelight. Since then, they’ve been climbing the ranks, gaining a dedicated fanbase, and making their mark in the music world.

Title:
“No More Mondays”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am F
Woke up this morning, the sun in my eyes,
C G
Another work week, hiding in disguise,
Am F
Packed up my suitcase, with dreams so grand,
C G
Ready to step out, and take a stand.
(Chorus)
Am F
No more Mondays, to keep us down,
C G
We’re chasing sunsets, in this town,
Am F
Hear the music playing, it’s our sound,
C G
In our hearts, freedom is found.
(Verse 2)
Am F
Trading the spreadsheets, for a guitar,
C G
Underneath the moonlight, or a smoky bar,
Am F
We found our purpose, in the night’s cool air,
C G
No looking back, without a care.
(Chorus)
Am F
No more Mondays, we’re breaking free,
C G
Beyond the skyline, is where we’ll be,
Am F
This is our story, our decree,
C G
In music, we found our destiny.

Testimonial: “I’ve never been one for mainstream music, always preferring the less traveled paths in the world of sound. Pleasant Manager’s music speaks to me on so many levels. Their lyrics feel like stories that I’ve lived or want to live. The way they’ve gone from office workers to rock stars is so inspiring. It’s proof that it’s never too late to chase your dreams. I’ve been their fan since their bar days and seeing them grow has been a privilege. Their song ‘No More Mondays’ is my anthem and has helped me through some tough times. To me, Pleasant Manager isn’t just a band, it’s a journey of courage, dreams, and freedom!”
